Artist Name : Noel Pascual

Noel Pascual was born in Baganga, Davao Oriental 1971. ( Cubist- figurative color abstract) Mechanical engineering studies, Notre Dame College, Cotabato. Having to quit college studies in Cotabato due financial difficulties, got work in the advtg firm of friend Jhun Reyes, making posters and designing logos. In 1992, moved to Mla to apprentice uncle William Yu, who has 

painting in a geometric- cubist vein. Met Loreto Racuya and Cesar Legaspi through his uncle, 

both of whom gave him pointers and encouragement. In 1994, became a regular of Heritage Arts & Antiquities. Also worked for Inday Cadapan, as well as Sunkrafts and Son-Valli Corporation. Recd commissions to do series of murals for a Paris-based client in 1996. First solo, Bacolod City, 1997, a sell-out, sponsored by Samantha’s and Jan Dale. During the city’s Maskara Festival. Latest exhibit, Heritage Gallery, Glorietta, Makati, 1999. paints cubist figures in duo-tones with a background of tubes, lines and colorful rick-rack motifs as in Mexican folk art.
